1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how ChangeSales Oy ("FridgeAI," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects the information of our users when you use the FridgeAI web application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

2. What We Collect

When you use FridgeAI, we collect and store the following:

Account information: your email address and display name, provided at signup via Clerk.

Kitchen data: your household size, dietary requirements, taste preferences, pantry items, saved recipes, recipe ratings and notes, and Kitchen notes. This data is shared across all members of your Kitchen.

Photos: fridge photos you upload are processed by the Claude AI API to identify ingredients. Photos are not stored permanently -- they are used only for the duration of the analysis session.

Usage data: non-personal information about how you interact with the app, used to improve functionality and fix issues.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the FridgeAI service: to create and manage your account and Kitchen; to generate personalised recipe suggestions based on your fridge contents and household preferences; to maintain your taste memory and pantry profile; for billing and subscription management; to communicate with you about your account and the service.

4. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your Kitchen data is yours.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate FridgeAI:

Clerk for authentication and account management. Supabase for data storage. Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered recipe generation and ingredient analysis. Stripe for payment processing and subscription management. SendGrid for transactional emails such as invite links and trial notifications. Vercel for hosting and infrastructure.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your subscription is active. When your trial expires without a subscription, or when your subscription ends and is not renewed, all your Kitchen data is permanently deleted within 24 hours. You may also delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion triggers immediate permanent deletion of all your data. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

7. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage most of this directly in your account settings. For any data requests, contact us at hello@fridgeai.eu. As an EU resident, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

FridgeAI is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
